Mineral water bar in the Trinkkuranlage
The impressive setting of the Trinkkuranlage (drinking cure salon) is a fitting testimony to the healing properties of Bad Nauheim's medicinal water.
At the centre of the building stands the mineral water bar crowned by a golden dome. The medicinal waters from the Kurbrunnen and Karlsbrunnen springs can be tasted here during opening hours. The water from the Ludwigsbrunnen can currently not be served due to renovation work. The healing waters are so-called sodium chloride thermal acidulous springs that counteract digestive complaints, stimulate digestion and metabolism and promote health. The springs differ in composition and dosage.
“The water tastes like herring with liquorice”, wrote Erich Kästner about Bad Nauheim's drinking springs. Whether the famous writer was right or not is something you can easily decide for yourself when visiting the mineral water bar.
The opening hours also apply on public holidays.
