A spirit of adventure for young and old

Here we have put together a varied programme for your family holiday.

Bad Nauheim for Families

Families can experience something here: from a water playground to free-running peacocks to a ride on the steam locomotive - there is something for everyone!

Playgrounds

Water playground in Südpark

With their feet in the water and the handle pump in both hands, water rats get their money's worth. The children can splash around and build sandcastles to their heart's content, while the adults follow the game on the lawn. The little ones can also be comfortably supervised from the nearby witches' café with a drink.

Opening hours: Mid May to mid September (depending on weather conditions) 10 to 18 hrs

Kiks UP forest playground in Goldsteinpark

Located in a clearing, the playground invites you to experiment and discover. To get to the Crystal Tower of the Salt King, children have to overcome the Blackthorn Labyrinth or the Salt Stick Garden. On the way they meet the guardians of the forest who help the children to solve the riddle of the Salt King on the side.

Opening hours: all year round

Schwalheimer wheel with bike playground

A nice excursion on foot or by bike is the Schwalheimer Rad with the bike playground. A soccer field, a cable car or a trampoline field invite you to romp around and sports enthusiasts can compete in table tennis (rackets and balls have to be brought along). On the nearby hill there are numerous possibilities to hide.

Opening hours: all year round

Tours

City Caching In the electronic treasure hunt, a GPS device is used to navigate to various stations where there are interesting facts about the city's history to be learned and a question to be answered. The GPS devices can be borrowed at the Tourist Information for eight or ten euros, depending on the tour.
Better Learning Path Ear scrubbers, head turners, arm stretchers & Co. - on a length of 2.7 km around the ski meadow you can rub, wiggle and laugh. The exercises improve the ability to concentrate and learn as well as creativity if they are used regularly.
Planetary Hiking trail Cross "galactic" distances. One step on the Planetary Trail is equivalent to 2.8 million km. From Goldsteinpark through the city, the trail leads to the public observatory on Johannisberg.
