Unique cultural venue

Velvet armchairs and lavishly decorated walls adorn one of the most beautiful theatres in Hesse.

Art Nouveau theatre

The theatre is part of the Kurhaus, which today houses the Hotel Dolce by Wyndham Bad Nauheim.

The Kurhaus, built in neo-Renaissance style and situated above the park, was for a long time the centre of social life. Even today, the wide terrace and adjoining plane tree courtyard are impressive. The theatre, built in a unique Art Nouveau style, has been rebuilt several times over the years. After a fire destroyed it down to the foundation walls in 1980, the original character was restored. Since then, it has been regarded as one of the most beautiful theatres in Hesse. It has 720 seats and 250 square metres of stage area. Concerts, theatre performances, operas, operettas, dance, variety shows, musicals, readings and exhibitions take place here regularly.
